Apparently, onlinedude couldn't stay away. Still no answers to the questions posed to him but he's managed to post some adolescent "secret" comments.

    What is this?

Apparently threebuckchuck has copied the description for this site http://www.appliquequilt.com/ from

from here http://www.craftsitedirectory.com/applique/index.html (whether it is his directory?) (2 link from the top)

and compare with this ( threebuckchuck's directory detail links)

    http://www.only-yours.com/detail/link-132.html ( threebuckchuck's directory detail links)

    Both the descriptions look same

and both directories are hosted at different servers!

The owner of www.craftsitedirectory.com is the owner of comcast.net? the site's contact email address is to comcast.net?

threebuckchuck you are copying descriptions from some where else and then blaming others for copying yours???

I am eager to know from yours side!

Aviva Directory and speculation of why some of their pages aren't showing up in certain searches. Personally, I think Aviva is a good directory and things will be back to normal, but I know nothing of SEO. As a useful directory I believe it should be listed, but I would't know if any bad SEO tricks were used. IMO Jeff can rely on his content and doesn't need to use any bad SEO tricks, but my opinion doesn't count with google.

Any point in making duplicate posts in more than one thread? I'll save time and confusion by simply posting the same reply here for you.

It ranks at 56 for the keyword: avivadirectory

It does look like some sort of penalty as it doesn't even rank for it's domain without the extension missing.

But I did notice that when you type in the domain name it does bring up it's listing with about 5 links under it.

business.com is something totally different, its domain itself is worth huge. point here is top keywords of the domain itself doesnt show up the site search, this is irritating to me, happened with one of my domain as well, but then search results came up back on its own.

There are a lot of discussions pertaining to AVIVA, but how about the websites submitted in the AVIVA. Will these sites face a penalty?

What purpose would it serve for Google to penalize sites for submitting to a directory?

The day I did submitted my site to Aviva, I lost my SERP. So I thought it could be penalized by GOOGLE for that reason.

Honestly, I am trying to look for some of the sites that I have an approved link but I can't find them or maybe I am not just looking right. Also this was happening way before as even DaveE said his backlinks are sinking. Few days ago I cannot find Biz-Dir but now its back in my list. OK, just my opinion no need to be in a state of anger, I think that there is no weight of whatsoever of the temporary penalized sites that it doesnt show. I don't know what is the result on yours but mine does not show.

Don't know but that's very typical of a duplicate account on having at DP. Can you please post at Introductions and introduce yourself first. It might be good before the MODS see your a dupe. Just an advise ;)

That's a good question and one I'd be interested to find an answer to. The response you've got so far hasn't been helpfull to say the least, maybe its because they don't quite know? My question would be, did you ever really benefit from being listed in it in the first place to get penalized in any shape?

My honest opinion is that I don't think you would have suffered but it does seem a co-incidence.
