    Hey All,

I've been reading these forums for a few days and decided to try my hand at bum marketing. I wrote an article and posted it on EzineArticles.com. So far its had 85 page views and 29 link clicks. It just went active today. I don't have any sales yet.

Is this normal traffic for bum marketing?

It is normal to get less number of link clicks than page views.

yes, because most people have left the page before reaching the bottom of the Article.

    1. Maybe it was'nt what they where looking for.
    2. They use the Article but don't follow the link.
    3. Maybe they clicked an add or another link on the site.

There are many reasons why this happens its the same with most things online like adsense for example you can get say 100 views but 1 click! sometimes more sometimes less, depends on the viewer/visitor.

I would say tho that 29 clicks from 85 page views is quite good :)

EDIT: Also this would depend upon the quality of the Article.

I'd say that is really good traffic for bum marketing. Did you make any sales yet?

    Thamelas,

I am relatively new at this, but my experience has been about 1 sale for every 300-400 URL Clicks.

I would be interested to see if anyone can chime in here that gets something like a 1% conversion rate from article submissions. I have submitted over 200 articles (trying to follow bum marketing principles, keyword targeting, etc.) and my conversion rate has been much lower than 1%.

Just wondering, how long did it take to get your article approved?

Good thing that you chose ezine articles. They are one of the best for geting traffic. Dont give them all your writing however, you will want to use most of that for your own site's content.

FYI - In the past three years I have submitted well over 100 article to nearly as many article sites. I have gotten traffic from only two of them - Ezine Article and the Chronicle.

I think it took about 3 or 4 days to get my article approved.
