Hi, I have a website ( http://www.pirate-land.com ) and before I start promoting it, I want to somehow implement a bot on the forums (there's a link to the forums on the index page of the site) that makes a post with google ads in after the first post of every thread or something like that... sure you have mod for phpbb on their forum somewhere .... but i would go with punbb since you dont have any posts ye .... it is very easy to impletent adbot in punbb !
Dude, just FYI- In addition to the standards above, AdSense participants are required to adhere to the webmaster guidelines posted at http://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html.
Personally, I wouldn't use a bot to do this, it's better to modify the forum software you're using and add the adsense code to viewtopic.php (in the case of phpBB) or the equivalent in whatever software you're using.

Agreed with ^^^^^ Just editor the view_thread file and when currentpost == "postnumber" ad the adsense code. Bots are strictly forbiddin in the use of adsense via the TOS you agreed to when getting an AdSense Account!
Man you're looking to tread real close to the border of "ban-dom"with what you're looking to do. Be safe and don't look for the easy run-around if the site matters to you.
They have mods out there to modify your script, or you can easily modify it yourself to display an ad.
I am sitting here as we speak fretting over which forum and gonna use but I want to add the adsense code in the a good spot in the forums by hand. Would anyone be willing to walk me step by step through how I would modify the phpBB code to dispaly my add after the first post. Thanks!

Simple machine forums has a mod that would do what you want. I use it myself. you can put ads at the top, bottom, middle, end of posts, after first post etc. Btw SMF is better than PHPBB I'd say switch to SMF and use the ad mod. gl.
Someone gave me bad rep for posting asking for this bot saying it's a TOS violation... I don't THINK it is. Is there anyway I can get the bad rep removed for that post?
