Although Google knows the best but i personally think, if the PR update is delayed and that too way beyond our imagination... i see a fair chance that the Snapshot date might have been delayed as well.... Although none of us can be truly sure if it did actually Happen in July.... it can be as well as in August ... Who knows... We can just guess~

I've been reading this thread over the past few days, and I have to say I've really been getting a kick out of it. Not because I'm laughing at you guys, but because I have been feeling the same anticipation as well. lol

My favorate moments of this thread has been that furry dragon creature from "The Never Ending Story", and then when one of the guys said he was going to spend his 95 cents from his daily google money on a weapon.

So here's a thought. Matt Cutts wasn't very specific. It's possible he might just be saying that for the heck of it, meanwhile the Google dudes are getting ready to pull the magic pr update lever and trick us all tonight.

On the other hand, he could be telling the truth, and we'll all be wondering for the next 2 weeks...

Just a thought from the newest member. Thanks for the laughs everyone. I'll be checking in from now on. lol :)

Got to beat you on that too lol , got my up online for 8 months and no result so far, the only interesting thing is if i search it with my main keyword i am on second page in google now , before i use to be at the end or 10th page could that mean something , also if i put some different keywords not mentioning my url site name i get my links on first page as well ! Could be it , could it be chance for a PR ? :D

Im just frustrated that no one knows why there hasn't been a pagerank update. There has to be some reason? There would be 10 000 webmasters that rely on page rank. Im sure someone knows whats going on.

There is no regularly scheduled update. This may be the longest time in between updates, but not by much. This really isn't that big of a deal (the time factor, I mean). Yeah, I'd like to see it update as well, it's one of the things I pay attention to, but I'm sure it will happen eventually.

That is my take on it. I would say it has been in the pipeline for a few months.

I also suggest this is why some SERPS's are bouncing around, my take is that the new algo is constantly being rolled out for testing, then rolled back and tweaked.

My guess is that the new algo is majoring on identifying "paid links"

I think Google will need to be 100% happy with the new algo before a toolbar PR update happens - if at all

PCTECH is right. Email Matt and tell them this is not accepptable. You worked so hard on the site for a full month and still no results. Tell him you bought some good Adsense content on DP and tons of links of high PR to give the site a good boost. Still nothing!

Google is trying to kill paid links. By substantially delaying PR it makes it more difficult to buy and sell links based on PR. The only people that actually care about PR are those that buy and sell links anyway.

It seems that they are cracking down on paid links, although not if bought through the appropriate channels - it sounds dumb to me but have seen a dramatic drop in SERPS for one of my sites straight after buying some good quality links:mad:

Matt Cutts has recently stated that there won't be any PR update at least for the next couple of weeks. So shall we stop bumping this thread again and again with non-sense?
