I disagree: it's takes a "smart businessman" 3 seconds to at least acknowledge the issue and say "I'm working on it." To ignore it completely almost indicates that they're totally floored by what happened.

The "glitch" theory is running out of steam quick.

When it's all said and done, you won't need a full explanation; the results will speak for themselves. I fully expect that this is much more than just a blip that some would like to believe.

I doubt there will be any comment for some time; usually nothing is said until it's over and it's my feeling that this is only Round 1.

It's unfortunate that there are some caught up in this that likely shouldn't be and I feel for them.

Aw - did I hurt your feelings - was that supposed to make me feel unwanted and unloved - what was the point of that at all?

You have too much time on your hands and a very dodgy grip on reality.

    Never mind :D

Just when you thought you seen it all some misfit pulls a stunt like this.

    How sad is that... :(

those submitters did you a favor (regardless of thier intentions) and now you dare charge them to be removed? pffft

If they asked to be removed then DO IT

    thx

    Bingo! green for you.

Don't forget, I am also busy working and also reviewing submissions.
(I've had over 40, of which barely half made it)

Plus, I've been a little under the weather due to the elevation/climate change from my time away this past week. :)

Just a side note, in that, I find it funny how some people are trying to make it as if they are some sort of martyr absorbing all of their imaginary beliefs for 'us all' hahaha .. not to mention 'the gangs' This thread is pure comedy gold. I will shed a tear and a sniff with others though if they want to.

I hate to tell you this but it could just be a glitch....there is about as much evidence of that then there is that it is a big gooogle conspiracy to hurt the traffic of a select few big directories.

I have said it before and I will say it again, gooogle has bigger problems with MFA sites then with a few high PR directories that might have purchased some links.

I didn't look too hard but I am sure the 2006 revenue from adsense is even higher. That is a lot of cash, even for gooogle...it just doesn't make logical sense for them to play around individually with the SERP's of a few directories...it would be a complete waste of time.

Anyways I am sure we will find out eventually and until then I will hope for the best.

I am not really sure what someone can do to 'work on it' and the fact you say that statement would make you feel better sounds a little silly.

Here is a quote I made in a post back on May 3, 2007 about the 13 stages of free directory ownership, just so you know this type of thread and attitude has been around a little longer than this specific issue.

LOL. Now there's a liar for you. 700 people contacted him for delisting. That has to be the funniest thing I read all day.

Now that is some respect for the customer.

I simply cant agree on any Glitchs...

Bottom line many got caught with thier hands in the cookie jar well after "matt" talked
about the adding your site on "high pr pages that arent even relevant" or (paid links).

The only question that remains is how long will the penalty last...
or is it based on the severity of the crime?
did that site have 1-2 links that caused it or did he do this 100 times?
and if so what are the time restraints..

    thx

Don't think I'm going to attempt reading an entire thread like this again.

I believe it's much easier to pay webmasters that own similar content sites by paypal than to actually pay for a directory listing.

I like to pay someone for unique content on a similar topic website that links back to a client. This will always be the best way to increase inbound links.:D

Hopefully the saying 'you can't teach an old dog new tricks' really has no merit, and we can teach you something today.

and it was affected, but ... yea... continue on with your imaginary 'gangs'
I'll just wait patiently, and will continue to do what I've always done, and see what google turns up.

    rocks vs boulders.

    oooops.
