To be fair, Paul is for

    Privatizing Social Security

and I'm not 100% on his position on

    Death Penalty

I do know he isn't against Same Sex Marriage, preferring to allow the states to decide on that, rather than making it a federal issue.

That also goes for Abortion Rights.

He's pretty clear on no to any international treaties that would compromise our sovereignty, no to anything that undermines the second amendment, and no to any government run socialized programs like health care, education, stem cell research etc. It's his take that the free market will provide for this at no cost to the taxpayer (if it is deemed profitable or desireable read:donations), and the people who will bear the R&D/overhead-administration costs are the people who make use of those programs.

Fantastic thread by the way. It's interesting to see if people's issues are supported by the candidate they approve. If you like busy government and vote yes all the way...

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R)
    82.61% match

Pretty crazy since I think a lot of people regard Rudy as a small "g" Government guy. A more traditional conservative,

    Texas Representative Ron Paul (R)
    91.30% match

Now I am curious to know where he and I differ.

Apparently Border Fence is one. I'm just not a fan of more government operated infrastructure, although I can see the side that it is a part of the national defense to protect our sovereignty.

One of those is a trick questions for people not really familiar with the issue.

Internet Neutrality means that the government would control aspects of the internet, not that the Internet would remain neutral. A no position would mean zero governmental control of the internet.

the poll asks false questions out of context. "stem cell research" - research all you want, on your dime. Clearly the intent of the question is "government supported stem cell research" - that'd be a no.

Most of them are like that.

Anyways, if we assume they meant "federal funding" on some of them (warranting a no, where it'd probably a yes otherwise)

    I'm 95% brownback (WHO?)
    California Representative Duncan Hunter (R) - 95.00%
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (R) - 90.00%
    Colorado Representative Tom Tancredo (R) - 90.00%

Is anyone surprised that AGS matched up with the guy considered (on both sides) to be the oddest of them all? Didn't think so.
