Two questions about bum marketing...

First how many links should one put in their author bio area? Should it be one, two, three or more?

Also why is it advised to only submit an article to one directory? Wouldn't more submissions get more traffic?

    thanks

    1. Most articles don't let you submit more than 3 links.
If you are trying to build backlinks to your website, then post three links
if your promoting a website, post 1 link, and concentrate your efforts on that link

    2. If you submit the same article to multiple directories, google and other search engines will see those articles as duplicate content, and most of those will be thrown in the "Google Trash Can"

if you submit to different directories, make sure you rewrite or spin the article, then submit it.

How short is too short for an article?

If you are trying to use an article for a sales lead than you don't want to tell them too much. Wouldn't it be a good idea to write say a 300 word article and than have another 300 or so on your landing page, blog etc?

Am I wrong in assuming this?

Well 95% of my articles are around 350 word range.

Don't worry about telling your readers too much, because think about it...

    A. They'll probably find the information elsewhere
    B. If you tell them tons of information, they'll deem you as an expert

I say tell the customers what they need to know:
by doing this, they'll see you as an expert

then redirect them to a product review page, with your affiliate links in them.
