Looking for popular Blog Categories / Topics ideas

I'm looking for a list of popular blog categories/themes/topics for a client who wants to set up different blogs. Please give your ideas on this. Some popular themes I could come up with are:

Autos
Business
Education
Family
Fashion
Food / Cooking
Games
Health
Loans/Mortgages
News
SEO/Internet
Shopping
Sports
Travel

Please post the theme of your blogs for more ideas.

 

What about Search engines? You can include that as well?

You could also have a topic for "pets" as well as "online games", yes? The "games" topic is pretty broad, what about video games, and the like?

 

Pets is another good one. I completely forgot about that. For games, I was thinking of the main games blog to have sub-categories for online games, video games etc.

 

Anything financial, not just loans and mortgages, is usually pretty popular - i.e. debt help, budgeting, etc.

 

What about Science? Astronomy, meteorology, natural sciences, psychology, technology etc can be the sub-categories.

 

You forgot electronics - can be PC hardware or anything. Even better choice could be electronic gadgets, they are fairly unknown and very interesting.

Baby blogs, home decor, collecting, music/gig reviews

what about acne or cancer for health category?i think those are good topics too

 

The two that seem like they would be wildly popular would be popular culture (music, tv, etc.) and technology.

One that likely doesn't have a lot of blogs, but should, would be a blog dedicated to aging and the issues of getting older. Sponsored by Viagra

Also, I've noticed funny blogs mocking famous people (or events) are very popular, you can try that too.
