Rare Domains - what does this really mean?

I have just seen a post where someone said their domain was very rare, what does this mean?

Obviously LL's are rare as are LLL's etc but, when you get to LLLLLLL's surely because of the sheer number of combinations that can make words or pronouncable domains they can't be described as rare.

If you take it to its extreme, no domain is rarer than any other because there is only 1 .com of every combination.

    Your thought please.

LOL, well, you are right, but you can also say that dictionary keywords are rare, for example travel.com finance.com, etc.

I agree that every combination is rare, but these type of keywords are even more rare to find than akdghdasais.com

Sure words are great domains but this domain was a combination of 2 words with 7 letters, IMHO I believe 'valuable' would be a better description for the domain rather than rare.

I have to agree with you here. Valuable describes the situation in a better way.

I suppose we have to live with all these marketing strategies now. :)
