I hereby announce a renaming of the "Google PR Update" to the "Google PR Overhaul". Clearly an "update" is no longer in the cards. I believe some major changes in their algorithm are underway causing the current delay.

Meanwhile we need one more fighter to get the webmaster-fights underway. Our first brave volunteer fighter is Yosser from Edinburgh.

By dropping PR, Googling will be killing TLA, PPP, and other advertising flatforms that came up because of PR as they compete with their ADWORDS.

But they will also have many people not installing or uninstalling the google toolbar, as that is the only reason I installed it in the first place - along with around 80% of people that installed it.(and there go their stats records.)

I don't think so. Google cares about their competitors just as they care about themselves.

This is taking a lot of time, I start to think that the Big G is going to make us - the evil, unwanted webmasters :) - wait a bit longer.

It comes pre-installed on many new PC's.

If every webmaster removed the toolbar I doubt Goog would lose more than a few % of the data it currently collects - and any loss would be recovered by new cosumer PC's in no time at all

    Red rep for this lol

Got 40% increased visitors from Google the last 3 days without any clue why. Not PR update, but just wanted to let you all know. Might have some experts that can do anything with this info.

There was an internal backlink update and you are now getting credit for new inbound links.

I had to opposite experience. One of my newer sites dropped by about 40%. Apparently it lost some good backlinks.

I firmly believe the paid links filter has now been applied. If you have been buying or selling links, those links may very well have been discounted accounting for the fluctuation.

With that said...these are my opinions and my personal observations.:)

Give up on the waiting people. Just continue building backlinks for your site and you will be rewarding...sitting here waiting for the update means you will be left far far behind compared to those of use who continue to build links.
