Has anyone ever tried optimizing a site only for MSN search? Here is my thinking: in some cases, the fast, more reliable rankings you can get from MSN using classic SEO techniques is a good investment of effort relative to , say, ranking in Google. Possibly this would be true for keywords that are more consumer-oriented and pay well yet are not so saturated with competition.
optimise for google, top for nearly all my phrases in msn however hardly any traffic. google is the steak and msn is the spam
my website is ranked high on msn on several keywords but I get less than 5% of traffic from it. 90%+ traffic is from google! So, optimizing for google is the way to go.
I can't agree that MSN is not as good as Google. Even for more competitive keywords MSN index newest websites quicker that Google.
I have ranked top 3 on MSN for some good keywords and for the same keywords I ranked 2nd or 3rd page on Google however the traffic for Google was still much bigger then the traffic I received from top 3 placements with MSN.
I have good msn rankings and 5% of traffic is from msn. Definitely its good as a backup to google rankings. At least you will have something if your Google rankings tank.
I am at a loss as well. Several weblogs and still nothing I do makes MSN happy. Maybe it is a Wordpress/MSN issue. I will make a new thread regarding this and see what everyone says about it...
haha, seriously. I might get 100 hits from msn bots a day while I get 40k+ from google and 60k+ from yahoo
I've never really 'optimized' my web site for MSN, I always have been lucky with the rankings on MSN -- I've always ranked well with the keywords I've chosen, and I've also received some traffic. Meti
