Hello all, I recently purchased some websites and blogs from a member that used to be on DP before they was banned.

I was just wondering to avoid any complications of me possibly being banned for simply owning these websites now what is the best thing to do?

I mean for instance, lets say I purchased a pr0 forum from someone for xxx amount of money.

Remember this person is banned from DP but I did not know it till after I bought half of the sites they owned. I bought em off another forum.

Anyways, how should I go about it? Should I pm a mod and give them the URL so they can mark me down as the new owner or what?

I just don't want to get a ban, I know I am a new member but from the looks of things I will be doing lots of business through DP, I have already bought tons and I hope to sell lots.

Thanks guys and please let me know!
    :)

I doubt that user was banned for owning those domains, so you shouldn't worry.

Well I know that, but I dont want to be mistaken for a user who obviously did not know what he is missing out on in this great site!

Since your a mod I guess I will take your word for it, but I hope your right :)

Hm well it does not matter if you bought it off a banned person, but there are a few things that do matter that mods check before banning a member here:

    IP
    Whois info
    Email

IF those are not the same or suspicious there is nothing to worry about, you bought it off someone so registrars automatically change info anyway

And how are you doing :D

Well see I did not want to change the whois info because I dont want any serp position to be losed. If its my only option I will have to but was hoping to avoid that. Thats why I thought maybe PM the sites to a mod for them to mark down or something.

Well unless you have done some dirty stuff that was recorded under your whois info then yea dont change it but little league webmaster has ever aggravated google that much.

Unless you are buying youtube your serps won't change.

Gnet, thanks for the info! I know what you mean about a youtube type site and some of these are PR6 urls and some have 10k+ backlinks! So I guess I will not change it and see what happens. Thanks for the heads up! You all rock!
