Concerned about the keyphrase "Bidding Directory"

    Hey,

I am concerned of my recent drop from the first page for keyphrase "bidding directory". I used to be on first page (yesterday), and now I am not even in first 5 pages.

Same applies to, BigWebLinks which is the leader in this industry, and ranks on the 5th page.

    Anyone anything to comment?

    Regards,
    Radu

Hopefully just a temp Google glitch, so many directories have been affected including the big ones, we just need to wait a few weeks and see if it settles back to normal, with fingers crossed.

read the recent threads around here. Many of the directories dropped out of the SERPs, including mine.

from what it appears most of the sites have the word bidding in the domain name. So maybe google is putting domain names that have the keyword in it at the top of the list?

not really no. Google doesnt give that much weight to keywords in domains.

one more thing i noticed was this. When i type in ' astawerks ' which is the name of my company for my voip sales and directory this happens. When I used to type astawerks, Astawerks.com would be first and Astawerks.net ' my bidding directory ' would be second or third.

Now it is not show up on the first or even the second page.

The only good thing to come out of this is my general directory xtreme directory has a better ranking now.

discover is right. It's probably in the first 5 by importance of ranking for keywords. But the weird part is that it affects only web directories.

For what it's worth, you might as well submit to the #1 listing Bidding Directory :)
