How strong is your directory?

I added my directory too. It is only new but still interested in the result.

Have you thought about adding some "non-DP based directories": yahoo directory, google directory, dmoz, botw, stpt, etc etc so we can get a better comparison and the whole industry is represented

Hi Rasputin, thanks for you comments. Its not aimed at either the Google, Yahoo or DMOZ directories, submitters know them well enough to know the benefits (or not) of submitting to them already, Directory Rate's purpose is to allow users to compare, relative to each other, the strength of all the other directories out there they could choose to submit to. Also its not restricted to directories owned by DP members, its open to any directory, just so happens that most directory owners are DP'ers

This is pretty much one more backlink checker, is it not? That's the basis of the "Strength".

 

I am guessing too, and also might be just algorithm based on user ratings for a directory, cause op has not explained exactly what factors its considering, i am sure Alexa is one of them, which just makes any tool un-reliable.

 

I fear this will be just one more "who bought the most backlinks checker"?

 

This is going to be really interesting here and I desperately want this to succeed for the inventor. I just submitted a directory, not going to name it for obvous reasons. What I will say is that it has more quality content than the top 5 it has been online a long time, I mean over say 4 years plus maybe longer, and has always been strict on quality. Now lets see if the Rating system picks up on this fact. If it does it will recieve praise from me on every corner of the planet and I mean that. If it fails to pick up on the obvious then I'll rest my case that this is what I first said it was.
