Registering .travel allowed ?

Wherever i go, i seem to read that registering .travel domains is not allowed. it says i would need to be involved in the travel industry and submit some proof to have my .travel registered.
However, Moniker.com lets me register .travel domains without any proof or anything. Maybe .travel organisation has removed their restriction of companies ?
    Anyone care to confirm ?

i dont think that your relative will be having any problem at all to register it.
i dont think that you even will be havin a problem to register it.
i ask for 2 domains thinking that they are going to first let me know if i can register them but they allready charge me and give me the domains.
the cheapest registar i find was 99$ wich is very expencive, and i am thinking i was mistaken for the value of the domains in the pontenial future.Any thoughts from someone who knows better???
