Was this always the case, or did this just happen recently? What was the last plugin that you copied into your wp-content/plugins directory?

It could be due to a faulty plugin. Try deleting the last plugin which you've copied there.

using ftp delete all folders from wp-content/plugins or replace (recommended) that folder with a fresh plugin folder of wordpress software that u downloaded.....then one by one install new plugins and check which plugin causes error...

Are you sure you are logging into WP with an admin account? Also, you don't need a plugin to add Adsense to your blog.

I would check if you have an admin account and maybe re apply the latest wordpress update. That link is there for definate for admins. I have it on several of my sites :)

Where is your blog located? It sounds like you are using WordPress MU and aren't an administrator.
