This is great news (providing that you are not an idiot neocon supporter. :D)

The Brits have left, or are pulling out of Basra Palace.

They are withdrawing to the last remaining British base near Basra Airport.

This is a step closer to getting the lads out of a BS war that the controlled President of the USA created under expert tutelage of people far more clever than him.

DP member Hamba Wena touched on this in an earlier thread.

    This is fantastic news!!!

Bring them home, they're already at the f**king airport!!!

Sounds a bum deal to me - swapping Basra Palace for some grubby tented city!
Don't read too much into it.

It's a step closer to bringing the lads home, unless that idiot Gordon Brown is going to be a stupid lapdog to Bush like the disastrous scumbag Tony Blair was.

He doesn't care about anything but making anti-American comments.

You really think he cares about the "lads"?

I used to be one of the lads. British Army 1986 to 1990.

That is why I am supporting getting them out of the sh*t that your corrupt President has got them into. ;)

I am against the corrupt American Administration, not the American people as you would know if you took the time to read some of my posts here instead of sprouting your usual nonsense.

That's not quite true is it? i mean you have called americans dumb before & try to imply that all americans are fat. Generally you have quite an attitude towards anything american & not just the administration.

Actually you make comments specifically aimed at "Americans" all the time with no mention of the "corrupt American Administration."

There are way too many examples to look up, so anyone actually interested can do the research. You hate America and Americans. Just be honest.

if you go read Hamba Wena's thread, you will see that he (or she) grossly misinterpreted the article at hand....why am I not surprised....

BTW, are you excited about them coming home, or the chance for your buds to regain some control??:D

Holy cow! I would have never guessed he was that old, I was assuming about 16-20 and with a lot of drug use to get the way he is....
(I have him on ignore, so I only see what you quoted.)

I think everyone who has been in the Regular Army has done at least one NI tour. Thankfully I manage to avoid by being a weekend warrior!

If he would have stayed in there he would probably be a General by now. What with his geo-political and military knowledge.

And by the historical standards of British Generals he'd have been a good one ...

Leaving aside his attempts to goad a reaction his view does pretty much sum up British public opinion. Barring Blair, his acolytes and a few nutters who wanted to re-create the glory days of the Empire and gunboat diplomacy no one in Britian wanted to go into Iraq. For us it's a case of 'Been there, done that', (my great-uncle Eric lost an eye capturing Baghdad from the Turks in 1917). We honestly thought the era of needless deaths in pointless foreign wars was well behind us.

One of my best mates is American, look at my posts, they are against your lover the corrupt terrorist George W Bush and the rest of the crazy neocons.

I'm thrilled to bits that they have given up on the BS Bush "War on terror."

Pretty soon it will just be American troops out there and the pressure on bringing them out of the disaster will be even greater, this is fantastic news for everyone, except the neocons and fools that support these neocons. People like you in other words. ;)

No I didn't, thankfully. It was mainly large Battalions that were chosen for that, I was in a field force unit based in Germany, never came close to getting called up for N.I
I was however leaving my barracks for the last time in October 1990 while the rest of my unit were painting the wagons ready to depart for Gulf War One.
They asked me if I would like to sign on for another 3 years of service, I said "Thanks, But no thanks." :D

Nope, not true at all. He calls Americans dumb, trashes America all the time, yet can never seem to muster even a bad word for terrorists.

He doesn't care about the "turkeys" or "dumb Americans" at all. We all know who he cares about. Why he tries to pretend otherwise is funny though.

Propagandist tool. Bought and paid for by the same people that Galloway sold out to.

You're just upset because the support for your lover Bush and his BS war is waning. ;)

Better our troops alive over here (UK) than dying for your lover Bush over there GTech.

Incorrect. I'm simply owning you with your own previous posts and exposing your lies, again.

Everyone knows who you support. Even a few "sell outs" turn a blind eye to you for that. I don't turn a blind eye though ;)

Stop flattering yourself GTech. I'm anti-Bush, anti-neocon, anti-BS "war on terror" and I make that very clear.
I also want all troops out of the disaster area where they are being needlessly killed every month. The "war" is unwinnable and any sensible person can see that, you just fall for all the rhetoric that it's going to succeed when it clearly isn't going to.

You keep bringing the Ahmadinejad thread up and I stand by what I said.

He sees your terrorist scumbag Bush for what he is and can see the BS that he sprouts.

You are also very happy to cheerlead for this BS "war" from the comfort and safety of your own home, sat behind your PC.

I say buckle up son and get your ass over there. Take d16man and the rest of the crazy gang with ya too! :p
