Anyone can make money online, just depends how much time you've got on your hands...I made $150 in 2 days the other week and I'm a noob
I think the blog is a good idea, although I don't necessarily agree with the argument. You'll most probably get a lot of traffic from people who are outraged that their dreams of making a fortune online might just in reality be "delusions of grandeur" You may be able to make quite a bit of money through advertising, any amount of controversy is never a bad thing...you could also get things really hot by adding a petition to your site. Nice idea
I like the fact that I earn through AdSense whilst barely ever having to update, its not much, as I too am a full time student without being able to give my full attention, but surely thats better than getting a part time job?
WEll said tesla. I want to add some thing... Although there is tough competition and high price of marketing, all you need is new idea, just like alex tew who make 1 million in just 6 months, or if you are not getting strong new idea, just work hard you will succeed, Just dont lose HOpe.
Good discussion. Making money online does work for some people, that is true, but to get an accurate statistic to determine what percentage of people who set out to make money online succeed. If you create a thread claming making money online sucks, you will tend to get replies form those who are succeeding which skews the actual percentage. Yes there are more domains registered and even if you exclude the one used solely for parking purposes the rate of new domains far exceeds the the rate of new internet users.
Maybe so. Last month I saw back 2.4 times my advertising dollar on Google Adwords alone. And I spent over US$11,500. Its what you do online that matters not the advertising medium. There are so many ways to get traffic and convert it into money. Think about PPC traffic to make easiest money. Many companies provide services online in this area.
As I said before we can't pass off anecdotal evidence as fact. The graphs seem to show otherwise. When you have such a steep rise in online advertising costs the only way that advertisers could possibly maintain profitability is by raising prices or the conversion rate would have to increase. I see no evidence of the later.
It's soo dirt cheap to advertise online. Crazy cheap. Most of us are not going to tell you what we are doing to make money online as is just stupid to saturate our markets any more. but Geesh it's soo easy to do. stop talking about it and go try things. you will be suprised at what works..
In the nicest possible way......forget your economic theories & models and do some stuff in the real world. I made $1,200 profit yesterday...and most days for doing nothing now. Macro Economics is for politicians & academics. Then again keep promoting that IM doesnt work and keep my competition down.......not that it matters too much anyway
Making money online is no different really than making money offline. How many offline business fail? How many people who start their own business make a profit? Online or offline making your own money is challenging and requires time, effort, money, intelligence, and sometimes a little luck.
I think making money online is fun..I do not depend on it at all, but I still like to make as much as I can.
wow a revelutionery post! you are thinking out of the box. i dont like how google is buying the internet and i dont like how google making a hell lot of money. google is centralizing the internet and its been years i was looking for something that could come up with a better idea and could end the business of google. as the days are passing by google is more and more taking the internet. its just a matter of time we will have no way out. we need something revelutionary and something different that could beat google. but who will come up with that revelutionary idea?
Thinking... outside the square helps make money online. I have seen some members here re-inventing themselves in a positive way.
Um with mortgage ads costing 20 dollars a click and most niches costing $2 a click online advertising is hardly cheap. It was cheap in 2002 but not anymore.
I've just started trying my luck. Just started last month but need to get more traffic to my site. Content Content Content... Is my guess.. Lhlalyam
I think your post is spot on. I gave you a stumble I'm surprised to see so many people disagreeing with it. If you make over $25 a day online, then you are lucky and you should give yourself a pat on the back. Based on all the polls, threads, and blog posts I've seen on this topic, 99% of people who respond say make pennies a day online, and advertising is too expensive for them. To get a decent text link ad you usually have to spend over $150 a month. There are car payments that are less then that. So most people spend hours trying to promote their site in forums, reading SEO tips, doing guest blogging, stumbling, digging, etc. etc. so the ROI is usually pretty bad. I think it can be done, or else I wouldn't have a blog about making money online.. But it's not like he was trying to say it is impossible, just really hard, which it is.
yes, making money online is hard, but making money offline is no different. You know many people fail with their offline business, so generally I want to say making money is hard. Nothing is easy. If you think you can make money offline more than online, then go for it. If you think the otherwise, then go for it. Stop babbling. Personally, I think making money online is still easier than offline because making money offline need more money to start. You also need good connection with rich people in offline world which in making money online, skills and hard work are more important.
