Advice for a young affiliate marketer =] (Ebay)

Hello friends. I'm 15 years old, and I've been doing a fair amount of research on affiliate marketing over the summer. In June I tried selling Clickbank products with AdWords, but that couldn't continue because of my little budget. About a week ago I signed up for Commission Junction and the Ebay Affiliate Program. Since Tuesday, I've signed up one new user a day... so I'm very excited. $25 a day isn't bad when you're a kid who doesn't have to provide for himself! :)

The problem is, the only people I've signed up are friends and people I know in person. Unfortunately, I don't have an unlimited supply of personal friends. A majority of the talk about Ebay in this section of the forum pertains to people running online affiliate stores. I'm not quite sure if I want to go this route quite yet. Do any of you earn the majority of your Ebay commissions just from signing up new members? I know that no one wants to give out their big secret, but do you guys have any ideas on where I can find "Ebay virgins?" :)

Some ideas I've had so far:
    1. Sending out bulletins on my MySpace account (with around 10,000 friends)

    2. Opening a Get Paid to Site- Similar to Treasure Trooper. Does anyone have any experience with something like this?

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the matter. Thanks a bunch!

    Ethan

If you open a GPT it will require a lot more time. I run 4 major incentive networks and I work about 80 hours a week. If you're into working that much, go for it. Also, incentive sites will limit the offers you can promote.

    Good luck.

Yea, lots of time needs to be done. We do a lot of ACRUs (to the excess even), but recently sales are much higher since we started targeting higher end auctions (average commission around $70 per transaction). :)

Wow thanks for telling me. I guess that idea is out. lol. Good look though! What are your sites?

$70?! What products do you promote?! Cars? If you don't mind answering, do you use the BANS script? Thanks for the tips so far, guys. =]

Just when you are about to give up you are close to something big. So never give up and you will never fail, as long as you learn from what you are doing when things are slow and apply what you have learned to developing your skills.

    NEVER GIVE UP

I've been applying a technique from the blog Day Job Nuker where you visit the wanted section of Craigslist, find those people a suitable product on eBay, then send them off a link using the eBay destination generator. That has worked well so far. Does anyone else have any more ideas to find new eBay users? Thanks!

Nope not cars, just various expensive items between the 10k-20k range, and have been doing extremely well with them. Add the ACRUs and it's a nice chunk of change. 5 bars for the win! ;)
