Well, I don't need a host at all! I mean why should I? as soon as I say "I need a good host" - a bunch of small, unfamiliar hosts come up and tell me that i need to choose them... this is sounds like a sweet little game for girls like... "who gonna pick me next huh?"

Why should I choose you if:
    1. there are like thousands of small hosts offering their services here - just like you, and that would take me like 100 years to choose one of them!

    2. each host thinks he is unique but apparently almost all of them are reselling and overselling! - I'm not one of your "newbie" clients!

    3. each hosts try to sell his package in the lowest price he can afford - again, i do not look for cheap!

    4. i can't see here any old host offers his service, because old hosts and familiar ones do not advertise on a forum! rofl!

so.... still... I may choose you if:

    1. you are old and VERY familer host and reputable. established before the year 2002.
    2. you offer great packages without overselling.
    3. i don't need cpanel, cpanels are for noobz
    4. need multiple (2-3) websites to be run on the same hosting
    5. budget is up to $7 a month, paid yearly though.
    6. PayPal is accepted, and servers are located in the USA
    7. MySQL DB needed.

    Thanks, Robert

jsut checked them, inspiring i must say. that what i'm after but Pair.com is a bit expensive, $17 a month. the ICDSoft looks ok, but can it support multiple domains on 1 hosting account? 1 hosting account and 2-3 different sites.
    http://www.icdsoft.com/hosting.php

    thanks :)

also what do u say about http://www.bluehost.com/tell_me_more.html

All what you call "reputable" companies are overselling :D so your condition 1 and 2 are contradicting each other ;)

and btw, get prepared to see some spammy offers soon :D

it was a nice attempt to get a good hosting though ;)

i think Jamson suggested good hosts, that kind that pro webmasters and programmers would go for after, so if u know more of this type please suggest them.

they are not overselling, they are old (since 1995?) high PR, seems good to me.

    anyone tried:
    http://hostgator.com/shared.shtml
    1and1.com
    http://www.netfirms.com/
    http://ipower.com/webhosting.html

    ?

i think it's or ICDSoft, 1and1 or netfirms.... a lot of people take the overselling hosts and what happens is that many websites are hosted on 1 server...
which one of the above are not overselling do u think?

I can recommend knownhost.com as their service has been excellent in the year that I have been with them. They are an established company, provide good service, and don't try to tempt people with unrealistic "gimmick" offers.

I have been with a lot of hosts in the last 7 or 8 years and they have done the best job by far.

    Hey,

ICDSoft do support multiple domains (parked domains at least). ICDSoft have been around forever, and they reply within 15 minutes at multiple times of the day.

ICDSoft are definitely not overselling. 1&1 and Hostgator are. Don't bother with Netfirms, as others have said.

Hostgator is the best! Simply the best!

If you want I can give you a demo account of hostgator for 15 days..so that you can try the hosting yourself!

And if you are satisfied, you can say 'thank you' to me by buying a hosting from hostgator using my ref number.

    Fair Deal Right?
