To me, it is fine, i have seen 3 of my friends, all 16, have a baby. And i know 3 other people who are pregnant who are 16. It is rather shocking to know people my age are having sex and babys. Rob
How does that benefit anyone? Or maybe I misunderstood your post - your friends lover is still married (to someone else)?
To me, a more interesting question is why does your government control your reproductive organs? It's like they are treating you as livestock.
I have friends with children who decided they wouldn't get married but were committed to each other - but they decided that before the children were conceived. By making an informal, but very real, commitment to each other they were as good as married anyway. I think it's important that children are born into stable homes so if you get married later it implies that you weren't sure of the relationship when the child was born and that's a bit sad - although fantastic that things worked out, obviously. Personally, I'm happy that I met the guy, got married, had the babies... but that's my choice and my values and I'd never say "my way is the only way" because I've seen too many alternative relationships work really well.
Just because we have divorce etc does not mean it is not even thought about, many people do it and a lot of the time there are good reasons, still does not mean we are all for it. we are free to make our own desicions on what is right without someone else doing it for us
The funny thing about 'FREE' countries is that people who are free to make decissions do just that. Where freedoms are allowed, people will embrase those freedoms and live their lives accordingly that is why you get people having children when they are not married. Its their choice, their freedoms and good luck to them in their lives.
Because your wife can be one person today and another person tomorrow, or you can be one person today and another person tomorrow, and because "pink sunglasses" usually last 3 - 4 years, and because it is considered "normal" to have several marriages, and because all these things above can combine in one. Just for reference - it is not only USA and UK. Most civilized countries are like that. Also, some countries do not allow prostitution, but they allow so called "one hour marriages" with no official paperwork.
Exactly. Why do people always have to decide whats right and whats wrong for others? Everyone has a right to do anything they want, life isn't a marketing trend, you can not preach how it should be handled.
It is mainly as a result of morals being given lower priority. It depends on the culture of the area the people live in.
Oh please, come on, there is nothing IMMORAL about being an unmarried parent. Its a lifestyle choice, nothing more and nothing less and I for one feel proud to live in a coutry where people are free to make these choices. We can all point to any society and 'pick holes' in the way they live their lives when we contrast it to our own. That does not mean that our society is better than theirs or viseversa. Isn't it time we all lived and let live?
Goodluck if you wanna preach that here. I've officially given up, it seems everyone here likes to control other people's behavior and lives. I'd rather try to get the adult niche through adsense. :s
I never said they should not live. I do not agree as I think that a child should have both a Father and a Mother. Everyone is an adult. The most important thing is that an adult accepts his/her consequences.
