the sites were ranking well but now have no pages in the index at all. Still getting spidered about 1500 times a day per sites by google tho so they know about the site
That's normal and the way Google works. Fresh content will be indexed and ranked fast. After a couple of weeks, if the pages have not generated enough link juice, the pages are dropped. The idea behind it is that good content should generate natural back links.
Fair enough, thanks for the option. I know its cheating a little but i have been using Blog Solution 3 to create blogs on the same theme and get me some backlinks. The site i created on this (on a different c class ip) had about 6000 pages indexed after 2 weeks so i suppose its a case of waiting for the content to be picked up by other blogs and google to pick up the backlinks.
Has anybody regained the SERPs? If so please do update the information through this thread. Looking forward for replies....
One keyword term I was No.1 for 4 years, never moved. I took the foot off the pedal and a competitor came in and shifted me out of the way, slowly despite getting good links, the keyword moved down the rankings, to the 5th page. Stayed on the 5th page for a few months, then BOOM, back to the 1st page this week. Stick with it and don't put all your eggs in one tiny basket Longtail is your friend.
my friends, my best site dissappeared for 3 months and then came back at the same places.. for all keywords. i lost 80% of my traffic and now it is back. i m preparing myself for the next fall
Has anyone who has experience a long drop in traffic had any significant return yet? Personally my main site hasn't returned to anywhere near it was since the beginning of august. It's still at a quarter of the traffic it was. Are we still waiting for google to update anything or should all sites be back to normal by now?
I'm still waiting for my SERP to return (more than a month has passed now). Made some changes to my site + filed a reinclusion request just to make sure the sudden drop wasn't a penalty
