Ok, when do you think internet was first introduced, 1980s .... 1990s? Well, I don't know exactly when it is, but I know that the first ever domain registered is in 1950. Do you believe that? lol.....

Check the Registry Data.

This list left out others such as mit.edu which was registered on 23-May-1985. Also of interest was the fee was $100 for a two year registration and the first nameservers were created about 1 year before.

 

It got me going for a second, but it's registered in 1996..
