There is not many mods, i am in the process of making them now Change to categories, and add a reasonable amount. Look at other directories to get an idea. Google will only take around 4 days to re-index your site. They wont mind
Further to what Mike said, select the category appropriate for the listings. Don't worry about what the person wanted since whatever you select will be better than alphabetical.
I added a new entry to the list: If you provide description fields for deep links, ensure that they are not required fields. I just ran into this on a bidding directory, and the directory did not get the submission as a result.
You can add it at http://www.topbidlinks.com (3 deeplinks bidding directory) and now with alexa thumbnail too
Thanks for the tips chris and you listed my all bid directory as like www.urlindexing.com TOP Listing www.alivedirectory.com . I am still working on it to make my new bid directory a 5 deeplink and long description, I hope I will be success soon. Thanks chris.
Hi Chris, I have made all site in my bid directory permanently. Deep links would be added soon. Thanks you for consideration.
It's been modified. Deep link descriptions in my bidding directory are now optional. (I added the descriptions for yours anyway though ) I actually want to encourage submitters to write descriptions for deep links as that would add the detail page more content.
Hey Chris, Tried to follow all your tips on my recently acquired bidding directory. The bid directory basically has 14,000 backlinks in Yahoo, ranks number 3 for bid directory and on first page for bidding directory in google. The template is unique, and we offer deep linking up to 3 links. www.bidfortop.com. Some templates were released under this directory and another bid directory template is soon to be released (template is almost ready)
Regarding the double bid input... Either I've had a couple beers more than I should, or else I don't see any difference between these 2 code lines. Try editing /content/buy.php, and change line 67 from: PHP Code: header('Location:' . DIR_BASE . 'link/' . $linkid . '.html&bid=' . $_REQUEST['link_bid']); To: PHP Code: header('Location:' . DIR_BASE . 'link/' . $linkid . '.html?bid=' . $_REQUEST['link_bid']);
I believe http://x-8.co.uk meets the requirements, except "bid increases for already listed sites should take immediate effect". I think it should remain manual. Then again, I'd consider making it automatic if there was sufficient demand for such a feature Just a quick random poll, how many links do you / do you think you should show on your front-page?
Yes thats a important tip given chris. Moreover I would recommend providing longer descriptions for submissions. I just did the same on Bams Bidding Web Directory and the mod can be seen at rakcha's blog.
