It makes sense. You changed your theme. All should be better in time. Changing the theme of a website, from an SEO perspective is like starting over (in my opinion). I expect that some of your links will lose value as they will be considered less-relevant.

It doesn't mean getting deindexed though.

Isnt there a site or tool somewhere that lets you check to see if a site has been banned by Google. Im not sure but it seems like I ran across that somewhere once. If anyone knows of such a tool post it here for our curiosity.

It looks as though you are banned. I think that Google is coming down hard on all sites subscribing to rss feeds unless the feeds make sense. I can only guess that the main reason why you placed rss from different sources was to create some content of the page, because you have only categories there and nothing else. From Google's perspective this is not useful to the user, but some sort of manipulation on your part.
I noticed that many sites with rss feeds vanished from Google.
    Just guessing here.

The site I was referring to yesterday is now back on page 1 and 2 of results for my target keywords. Annoying when you disappear for awhile but I'm glad it is back.

Wow, I just added the news feed on the front page, the day before it disappeared. I think maybe you are on to something here.

    Hi,
does this mean rss feed that we are using as content for our site, or for offering our content available with an rss feed? Sorry, I submitted my blog sitemap and the site indexed and then a few days later it de indexed. This all happened this past week. :/

Sorry friend, but your site has been banned. I have had sites banned in 4-5 days let alone months.
As much I hope it's not true for you.

I removed all the RSS content, and submitted a reinclusion request. That's all I can do. That and wait and see what happens.

    It's back!!! Woohoo. :)

I don't know if it was a glitch, or what. I don't think they would have got to my reinclusion request within 24 hours.

    Maybe they did. ?
I would submit one, but I wouldn't know what to do for corrections. Maybe if it is the glitch thing, I can just ride the tide. I felt strange because after submitting the sitemap, there were 18 pages, then suddenly no pages. So I am patient, I didn't know this kind of thing was going on so much as it is. I've been reading several posts similar to this situation. :) I'm kind of a newb :/
I will do the reinclusion though if it is still gone in a month. I guess that would be fair enough. ... ?

    no,
I submitted sitemap to google about ten days ago. The site was in the index a few days later using site:domain.com. then a few days later it was NOT there. ??

you mean a reinclusion? I looked at the criteria and do not feel I meet it :/. Or is there a different reindex request I can do?

What site is it, or would you rather not say? Maybe another pair of eyes will pick something up. I think freaky andy might have pegged my problem.
