    There is a big chunk of what looks like North Dakota on the US and the north of Britain that look like mini-black holes too! Bad internet coverage or just the fact that no one is living there?? You decide!

    I'd say a little bit of both. I'm actually surprised at how good Africa is covered considering the people are so poor and spread out.

    Is this like the global internet map? I mean what are those green lines? Africa is covered or not doesn't matter, 90%+ people don't have access to the net so go figure. Anyways, interesting.

    Bearing in mind that image was produced by reporters I would say that the green lines are there just for effect and are not a representation of internet coverage or penetration.

    that was my thinkin' as well. i think they went for a "web" design without much care for anything else.
