How Much Do you Pay For Ringtones Traffic?

    Hi Everyone,

Just out of interest I was wondering how much is the norm to pay for good targetted ringtones traffic?

I have a source that can provide good amounts for around 50 cents CPC and I know the traffic is good quality. Do you think you can run a campaign at profit with these prices?

    Thanks
    James

I think you could run a add on adwords cheaper. If you find some good keywords. I know alot of people get paid very little for any ringtones ads from adsense.

Sure its possible.. the key is turning a profit and then increasing your profit. as you have to look at what you you Expcet your EPC to be over a 1.00 .70 .55 or even worse under .50.... You never know untill you try... but as always set your budgets on what you can afford to lose YES i said lose cause what if the campaing doesn't make a single convert... it can and does happen... but live and learn.

I was running a campaing on adwords for a day. Got around 120 clicks and 7 converted, i paid around .5 cents per click and my ECP was .8 I made a small profit but too little and decided to stop the campaing as the CPA for this international ringtone was only 1.10.

Any profit is a good profit. Why stop it? Every trickle of revenue you can keep going will eventually add up.

I agree completely if you can consistently make 10% profit daily its worth it. as where else can you make 10% return on your money... DAILY! :)

While I do tend to agree with you, sometimes there are good reasons to stop a campaign...Even though he may be making 10% profit daily, it could also require a lot of time to maintain. If one of my campaigns requires too much time to maintain for the low profits, then I'll drop it.

well i haven't ever had a campaign where i have to constantly adjust daily. I setup mine where its set it and forget it be sides checking my reports to make sure they are earning money.... I agree though if it takes up 90% of your time to make that 10% when you could be using that to get more return i agree.

Your cost per clicks should always be based on what your maximum positive ROI is with those keywords, it's as simple as that. I mean, you can't force profitibility....

Or can you? dun dun dun.

A tip you can use is ask your AM for the average eCPC for that offer. I generally set my bid to at the max half of that eCPC before I tune everything.

    Well,

The campaing was running for two days. Here is my "poor" results.

1º day I had 20 clicks and three conversions with a revenue of $3.30. Each click cost me 0.04 cents.

2º day I had 40 clicks and 0 conversions, and the clicks cost me around 0.05 cents each this time.

I can't understand why in the beginning i get good conversions and then the leads just stop coming even though the clicks are higher.

This campaing is over for sure!!! :(

I am going to try something else

I dont understand, you are still in profit, your clicks have cost $2.80 and you've made $3.30 - whats wrong with that?

    1. Yeap, I advertise on the Content Network also.

    2. I understand about the profit, but it is too small don't think it is worth the time.

    Cheers!

dont be so fickle... from the sounds of it you are VERY shakey.... to do affiliate marketing (especially ringtones) you have to understand that there will be ups and downs with a relative trend downwards now.

Yes you are totally right. I am new with PPC marketing, and afraid to lose money. At this moment I am in a learning path, eventually I will get it done right.
