The irony being that your site is a PR reporting tool...

It shows PR5 on my toolbar all right.

During last update too- when my toolbar was showing the new PR-- lots of countries --mostly US could see it only after 4 days on their toolbar. I had a big issue about it on V7N forum with a member from the US who said my PR was fake.:(

Sorry if this has been asked but I'm not sorting through 267 pages to find out. I have some friends with subdomain.wordpress.com accounts that have updated. One of their blogs was new so it has no PR and now its a 4. That was about 3 weeks ago

I gained a high quality link late July and thought I missed the boat, but maybe the unusually long delay will allow G to pick it up for this round of update? If it ever happens, that is :)

Has anyone thought that perhaps Google is working on something big?
Like a major Algo update, something as big as big daddy?

They've been collecting data on paid links for few month now, Perhaps they are implementing the new algo based on the data they collected, to hit the sites that sell links?

Their plan is to restrict effects of paid links on Pagerank.
So if they are implementing the new Algo, they must be waiting for the Algo to come in effect before exporting the pagerank.

    What do you guys think?

That theory has been proposed quite a few times, but I am more inclined to believe that they just screwed something up with the update.

Well, I think they are constantly working on their algo.

However, the last algo/PR update was quite significant. If you've noticed, a lot of directories lost their subpage PRs in the last update. I was also surprised to see that a lot of "link exchange" pages lost their PR as well.

Their algo appears to be very complex. I'm sure the algo isn't 100% capable to determining a paid link, but they seem to be doing their best to deter it.

Google has a nice history to mess up things quite perfectly, if they did it again I wont be surprised..
They work constantly on algo, but they make a big change once in a while.
I think either they are working on something big and messy thing, or as Will has said, they have already messed something up...
