Having read DP Army It made me think that making a team of say 4 people (Coder, graphic designer, marketing person etc) If we could design and build a network of sites and keep hold of them, it could be a good idea. Its more of a medium to long term thing (say 12 months minimum). With a small investment (we can agree that at the start but i wouldnt imagine more than about $20 to start with. Im looking for reliable people so i would prefer people with either a high postcount or a good itrader rating in here. If your interested please pm me and we can discuss further on msn or email. Tony
I can do graphic work, what kind of sites were you thinking about making? I know im new but I'd be glad to help
No one interested? Personally, I think it's a great idea in principal, but there's a lot of issues involved in the "profit sharing" in relation to workload etc. If one could get past these issues a DP Army (even a very small one) could do great things.
Whats iTrader, and what skills do you bring to the table just wondering so people with the same skills don't apply.
Im ok at a little of everything, coding/desiging promoting/marketing etc (by no means an expert in any area but i suppose you could say a jack of al trades. Ive had some positive feedback, obviously i cant choose everyone otherwise it will get too big, but once ive got it down to say 6-7 people (ive not got anyone yet for definate) And we talk about it im sure some people will drop out and so will try to get it to a maximum of 4 people. Just as a though im thinking everything gets split in 4 ways so 25% each. Once everything is decided and the final 4 then nobody is in charge everythign is a democracy.
Ive got 1 person onboard so far. Im ideally looking for another 2 but atleast 1 person, preferably with experience in promoting/marketing, but i would consider other applications.
When I saw an advert for a "small team" I was thinking along the lines of a team of dwarves, or possibly even smurfs. I was greatly dissapointed.
How about these groups working together, as "units" like in the army? Maybe each group can have different projects, but they should work together in sharing things like resources.
that was my original plan. seems like a good idea catches on too quickly from the look of it. we may need to start divisions and platoons early on to keep everyone happy well we did say it was gonna be an army after all.
Hi, ive got 3 other people onboard now, so for the time being this is now closed unless someone drops out. Thanks for all the replies and if you are interested please post here and ill be in contact if someone does drop out. Tony
