Good point ... TLA and the like should just adjust their charging mechanism away from PR toward traffic then everyone will be happy.

But I get almost all of my traffic from google and a few related (non-paid-link) websites in the same niche...

Google PR created a whole new useless inter-webmasters business : thousands of web directories, link sale, etc.

The sooner they will get rid of [it], the better

 

i usually do, i lost love for PR a while back lol, its just there for me now

Although I do agree to some extent, I feel your being rather harsh.

There are good directories and bad directories, I wouldn't be putting all of them in the same bag.

I don't think they bother looking at this thread, they are too busy with their algorithms changes I'm afraid.

I do think the update is near. PR has been updated in the google directory:
http://directory.google.com/ Unless it is just reverting back to old PR data.
The PR they are showing is definetly different then the toolbar PR for many sites.

 

Look at the copyright date.

I think update will happen soon. SERPs are bouncing around. This usually happens right before an update.

I'm pretty sure that the Update was done a couple of weeks ago, but it should be the time to be noticed in the Toolbar (export).
