It took me 3 days to become an editor. However for the last 2 months, there were only 5 URLs suggested in my category. Quite boring.
The category I was an editor for had no changes in over a year. When I got there nothing was submitted. I removed a few dead sites and added several other new ones. Part of the joy of being an editor is going out and looking for things to include within the project. If you are simply going to sit there looking in the queue for new additions your time there likely will continue to be boring. Maybe apply for new cats...but with a mindset like that will likely not get you very far.
Sounds about right to me. Get some sites yourself for your cat or find something else that interests you and find some sites and build the cat out in your bookmarks and then ask for privs in it. It's what we all had to do to climb the tree and get more privs.
Thanks for advise. I wll start adding sites myself. At first, I thought that I could not suggest URL by myself. But it is my job to do so.
Any update on my former categories and new editors ? A very nice showmanship to just update the top category.
