I started a movie and video game review blog last Sunday and I have been making posts daily. I try to optimize each of my posts for the name of the movie or game I am reviewing. My question is am I doing too much optimization. I currently use the name of what I am reviewing by typing it at least 2-3 times in the post, it is the name of the image preview of the movie, as well as in the title and alt tags of the preview image and star rating image. Can this hurt my PR or SERPS? I recently read about keyword spamming and it made me worry a little.
You should be fine. Don't worry about it too much. Sprinkle it in here and there, where it fits. Don't force it though.
Yeah, just write naturally. It probably won't hurt you to repeat your keywords, but it's not going to help either. Keyword density has'nt been a major factor since Excite and AltaVista.
there are a million sites that will evaluate keyword density and the seo tactics on your page for a given keyword. Use them. The other advice is to do what all the other posters said and just write naturally with the keyword and users in mind.... Don't make sentences that don't feel right just to get it in there.
I will keep all of this in mind. Thanks everyone. Are there any sites that you can just type in your URL and it generates a report on your SEO quality/score instantly?
Too much repitition is boring. Try using some other words which has the same meaning rather than repeating.
How long is the review ? As long as you do not overdo the repetition, there isn't too much of a problem........
The reason for this is that people seems to be hurry in finding their right choice for a movie so I guess if you use graphics then hopefully you will get more better results
