I'm just curious to see if anyone still uses Internet Explorer? It seems like firefox is trying to take over?
I still use IE Ducking while tomatoes are thrown at me. I do use firefox as well, just so used to IE and like to test in what most viewers will be seeing it in.
10% isn't bad considering how dominating IE was a year ago. It seems to be accelerating too (and now with Google paying people to install it it should only make it quicker). One interesting thing I noticed are tech people just about exclusively use Firefox. For example, I took a sampling of 1,000 users that were referred from digg.com, of those, the break down was this: As unbelievable as this sounds, this was the breakdown: 872 - Firefox 82 - Safari 19 - Opera 14 - Internet Explorer 13 - something else
Wow great stats, kind of what I guessed it would be. Tech savvy people will be using it, common ma and pa will use what came with their windows system.
i'm a firefox to IE convert (as in I used to use firefox and use IE now) it just loads slowly for some reason.
As digital said and I guess that's why I said it is taking over "Tech Savvy" Users use FireFox just as The Average Joe Uses IE.
When I look at my site stats it varies drasticvally from site to site but IE is used from five to thirty times more from Foxfire. Shannon
I guess fryman still uses IE. I think there's another guy running around here that does also. roman1, possibly? Here's how one of my sites breaks down: Browsers- IE 88% FF 8.39% Safari 1.6% Opera .23%
Well if everyone is showing one of theirs MS Internet Explorer 80.4 % Firefox 10.6 % Unknown 2.8 % Safari 1.9 % Netscape 1.5 % Opera 0.7 % Links 0.7 % Mozilla 0.7 % Konqueror 0.2 % WebTV browser0.1 % 2nd one just for fun, bit different results MS Internet Explorer 80.7 % Firefox 10.4 % Unknown 2.6 % Safari 1.9 % Mozilla 1.6 % Netscape 1.6 % Opera 0.5 % Konqueror 0.1 % WebCollage 0.1 % MultiZilla 0 %
No, not even on my little Pee C laptop (don't even ask why I have one, I still wonder myself). But, I am longing for the next Windows release, hoping like hell that IE and MSN are abundant and used heavily, for obvious reason!!!
I can't stand firefox personally and I'm hoping the release of the new IE will gain back most of the people who switched. I also hate how 90% of all the web pages you look at in firefox are messed up and out of format...
