Do we have another family values Republican Senator who has been a closet gay?

    Here we go again!

Larry Craig, Republican Senator from Idaho, pleaded guilty to a disorderly conduct misdemeanor charge that involved his "coming on" to an undercover cop in the Minneapolis-St Paul airport men's room.

In 2006 he rejected allegations from a gay rights advocate that he is gay.

Where does Senator Craig stand on family issues? You guessed it. :D He is another one of those rock ribbed Republican leaders on family values.

What is it with all these guys these days? Is this part of the party training?

I think people are slowly discovering that the Gay Old Party has been internalizing their own homosexuality for decades and that's what has made them seem so "anti-gay." People tend to hate the things they can't change about themselves that they perceive as negative. Remember Strom Thurmond being one of the most racist men in the Senate, and then after he died it was revealed that he had a mixed-race daughter who he had secretly supported financially for 60+ years? When your party is based around hate and fear, there's bound to be some hypocrites in there.

I think we need to get most of our politicians out of washington, they're all doing a horrible job...

But I do find it funny how when there's a scandal involving a republican, you're non-partisan all of a sudden... If this was a liberal you'd attack it like there's no tomorrow...

What really gets me about these incidents is the hypocrisy...

    Republican Senator Larry Craig
Pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in an airport men's room
    http://blog.washingtonpost.com/offbeat/2007/08/senator_larry_craig_got_busy_i.html
    Voted 'Yes' to ban same-sex marriages: Bill S. J. Res. 1 ; vote number 2006-163 on Jun 7, 200

    Republican Representative Robert Allen
Charged with solicitation of a male prostitue
    http://rodonline.typepad.com/rodonline/2007/07/florida-republi.html
Co-sponsored HR 597 which would increase penalties for Sexual Solicitation

    Republican Representative Mark Foley
Resigned after alledgedly sending sexually charged e-mails to congressional paiges
    http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/09/29/congressman.e.mails/index.html
Wrote a bill called "Child Modeling Exploitation prevention Act of 2002" to help protect children from "pedophiles"

Has he been trying to copy George?

    :D:D:D

This is an interested post of yours EP because even staunch Republican d16sham condemned Craig.

Maybe Larry was after some "Fast Love"

I have never been for ANY congressman that commits a crime...no matter what side of the fence they are on...if I have, please show me where and I will recant the statement I just made. You will come to find out that not only am I not a registered republican, but I have never voted a single party ticket.

I'm not saying you're FOR any person that commits a crime, but honestly if this was a DEM, wouldn't you post a more negative view of the article?

That's good, a person should never force themselves to vote in a person based on their party alone...

I'm a registered republican but am being pushed further and further from the party over the last few years...

    Where's the modest foreign policy?

Where's the pay raises for the military (above the required ~3%)?

Where's the budget surplus due to less "pork"?

What happened to "small government"? Why do most people think that having the government outlaw a woman's right to choose is a republican thing?

I like how he said "I'm not gay".

ORLY? Last time I checked, straight men don't attempt to have gay sex in public bathrooms, call me old fashioned if you will.
