I have ventured into a new industry with adwords and seem to have hit a wall. I have a set strategy with keywords, ads, landing page that has always given me "Great" QS and a few "Good" marks. The new campaign has all the keys for a solid score but 85% are receiving a "Poor" QS even when I follow all of Google's "suggestions". Are there any known issues that are commonly missed that could lead to such poor results when you even follow Googles guidelines?
Min bids are around $1.00 (It is an expensive keyword set). Should I run the Optimize Campaign program? Is it effective?
There's no such thing as an expensive keyword set - any keyword should be available from $0.01 if your Minimum Bid Quality Score is high enough. To get that sort of minimum bid from the start, the problem is likely to be your website. Do you have a privacy policy? Is it covered with affiliate links? Does it look reputable?
Privacy Policy = Yes There is not one Affiliate link, every link goes further into the site. Does it look reputable? I'm not sure how a computer determines that but it looks the same as other pages on the site that have no issues with QS.
Could be an issue with how they are estimating your keyword will perfrom in relation other advertisers using the same kw. Google uses all available data (not just yours) when determining the initial quality score. If you feel confident your LP is tight I'd let things run for 48 hours and see if there's any improivement in your min bid.
I have a similar problem, due to the layout of my pages there is a large amount of relevant keywords for my Ad Content and chosen Keywords. The are no adverts on their and the content is relevant (no spamming) it is validated on W3 and no idea what the problem could be.
