With the ongoing disaster in both Iraq and Afghanistan will the corrupt Bush cabal really take a punt on Iran?? It is certainly a worry and if they (the US backed up by lapdogs like the UK Government under it's esteemed leadership of Chubby Brown) then it could and will turn into an absolute disaster, bigger than the current disaster. There is a dude called Paul Craig Roberts and as I have pointed out before this guy sees things happening well before they do, here is an article he has recently wrote on how these crazy neocon fucks plan to make a disastrous situation even worst than it already is: http://antiwar.com/roberts/?articleid=11497 Here are two absolute blinding quotes from Roberts, he can see what's going on, a pity the dumbass sheeple can't see it too. The only gain to America is to the corrupt administration and companies they are associated with, the standard American on the street gains absolutely nothing from this craziness. Troops will continue to die to support this utter madness, and no doubt our slipper clad posse of idiots that support the terrorist Bush and the rest of his corrupt cabal from the comfort of their own homes here in DP P&R will continue to do so too.
The Bush administration is the most corrupt in the history of the U.S. Nothing they do surprises me anymore.
Now I see where all the unemployed Soviet propagandist went to work antiwar.com. It's funny how every soldier I hear back from reports things are going well and one very close to me just went back for his fourth assignment. Should I believe that Army Ranger when he says there is progress?
Wow, every one of them? You've either got a closed minded set of buddies, or they were in one small part of the country that was seeing steady progress...
Yeah, Media , Both political parties in US, Several intelligence reports are utter lies and propaganda but whatever Paul Craig Roberts says is pure truth.. Copy that...
Or you have a biased opinion. How many soldiers do you know that are saying they want to retreat or surrender? If they do what you want how long will it be before you are under a regime that has your nose on the ground and your butt facing away from Mecca 5 times per day?
I guess when your measure is lying under oath about an affair in office, the bush admin must seem corrupt.... don't forget alex jones...he does the thinking for AGS and his boys...
I actually know quite a few in favor of a withdrawal... I find it very hard to believe that every one you've talked to said things were "going well"... I don't really understand this... Are you suggesting that if we pull out of Iraq to save American soldier's lives, that Iraq will rise up and overthrow the US?
He might be. It's exactly the kind of stupidity that people back home in the US believe about the "War on Terror". That Iraq was some threat to American sovereignty. For crissakes, we stood nose to nose with the Russians for decades, and never feared for our sovereignty like we do today from backwater Arab tarpits.
I don't know if you are old enough to remember communism (in the real world not the academic world). America was slammed for going against communism. Those opposing it were saying the cost was too high ignoring the tens of millions who lost there lives under these regimes. Radical Islam is Communism's successor, should we stand against it?
1) You answered my question with a question. 2) Are you suggesting that Iraq is as much of a threat as the USSR was? 3) Should we stand against Radical Islam (or any group that poses a thread)? Yes, as long as they pose a threat. We shouldn't stand against any group based solely on their beliefs though, and I don't believe we should be the world's police... Also, I think some get the term "communism" confused with the countries that employed a corrupt socialist regime. For instance, the USSR even has the term "Socialist" in the acronym...
What really makes me laugh is how the US administration sprout this BS that they care about the Iraqi people, the fact is they don't care about them any more than they care for the African people. It's a joke and insults the intelligence of the American people. In all honesty if it wasn't for it's oil and strategic location they wouldn't even be there. Yet somehow the sheeple actually believe that the US administration cares for the Iraqis.
Now this might start bringing us into another issue, reducing our dependence on foreign oil... As soon as we figure that out, they can no longer use oil as leverage... Are you still just referring to the economical power they had? So we should attack saudi arabia, venezuala, iran, and kuwait also? And the nazi's? i'm not seeing the resemblence... Well, you referred to them as communists, no? They weren't, they were a socialist country; corrupt, at that... big difference... None that I know of, the guy needed his site indexed... What can I say, I'm a philanthropist... Even after all this, I still can't honestly believe that you know a "bunch" of soldiers that "all" think things are going "well" in iraq... EDIT: I'm still trying to figure this out... Because the middle east had oil, which could be used as leverage over the US, that warrants military action against them? I'm really trying to understand this reasoning...
Some advocate DEMOCRACY, CAPITALISM when it suites them. In the near future, you will have couple of countries want to play capitalism. In Middle East, US needs PERMANENT MILITARY BASE. There is already TENSION about how and who to divert the RESOURCES of CENTRAL ASIA. Some just try to hold on to what they can.
That would hit the DP community hard. Since so many here support the war in Iraq, I have little doubt they would step up knowing that Iran and Iraq and Afghanistan at the same time would require their active service. The good news is that if they go they will probably be "in the rear with the gear," so maybe they will be able to post from Iran
tarpon, usage of foreign oil is strategically a good thing. They have a limited supply, if it is used up how valuable do our reserves in North America become? The fight is not over oil, we have always had a good supply of cheap oil. Thirty years ago you could work an hour at minimum wage and gross enough to buy 3 gallons, now a days you can work an hour and gross enough to buy 3 gallons, it would be more but a big component of the price of gas these days is tax that is hidden in the price.
