So my work blocked all my favorite forums ...

no more forums for me, also I can not get into photobucket (or any pics people post from their photobucket) or any proxy sites ....



So now I have to work more .... this forum was not pblocked for some reason.

 

But what about tomorrow?

Seriously, if the admin blocked the other places that you surf while at work what's to stop them from blocking DP sooner or later?

 

What's strange is some of my auto forums were not blocked ... maybe they only want me posting about cars.

to get around work firewalls check lifehacker.com, they had a post about it not too long ago. But you should know trying to get around blocks is probably grounds for firing.

 

You got that right. I wouldn't recommend it, unless your job gives you a reason to avoid the firewall (such as being on a Help Desk) or you don't care about keeping your job. :|

You can always use a anonymous proxy site just make sure you don't get fired. Really don't get fired.

The Websense category "Proxy Avoidance" is filtered.

 

I guess your network administrator is doing a good job if he filtered "proxy".

 

You should use your connection at home to post on DP, and not use your connection at work. I would personally fire someone if they did this at work.
