    I agree with you, (and problogger), technorati used to be good/useful but now it is just a waste of time.
    What does technorati actually do?
    What is their purpose?

    Because I am a bloghost I added a plugin for my users but I got no support from technorati at all, (they gave me some obscure and inaccurate excuse as to my my users could not do a quick claim that I was supposed to swallow).
    More worryingly their technical knowledge seems to be lacking, a lot, see one of my few posts on the forum, I also opened some tickets, many were never replied to. Their forum is just a massive complaints board they ignore.

    Oh never...blogs sale will be decided on traffic-alexa-pagerank etc.

    Yeah...they ignore all....and it's era is gone..now they just maintain their site....they do that only....

    more technorati means more blog backlinks..........not website backlinks..i promote ma blog like a site not a blog..so technorati...may not be high.....popular blogs at technorati recieve 100 uniqies per month from it...

    100 uniques? My blog gets at least a visitor a day from Technorati, so I'm pretty sure popular blogs get much more than that.
