I have tried AVG. Although it uses less system resources, i dont think it finds viruses effectively. I am afraid, i cant vote for AVG.

My friend had a javascript related virus in IE. AVG did not find that. But my another system with Norton found it and removed it with permission.

I believe people hate norton only because it takes lots of resources. I agree with that. But i cannot believe any other anti virus yet.

Some introduce me nod32 and spyroot sweeper.

I am still using norton. but expecting low resource ones with as effective as Norton.

    Regards,

    Yaju Nithish

AVG is the best , first because it is free, second it works perfectly , ranked quite good , and doesn't use too much resources so it won't slow your sistem down , so i do recomend it to everyone and it is for FREE :) , if you need it just google AVG Free Edtition ;)

I've been using AVG free for years and it always detects a virus immediately when my nephew brings his PC over and plugs it into my LAN. Teenagers and their P2P stuff. LOL I've tried Avast and NOD32 and liked them but choose to stick with AVG.
