Has anyone seen this at PayPal today? I have had the same shortcut/favorite to my PayPal account for years and just now started getting this. Any ideas?
Maybe you tried signing into a phished version. Or maybe you attempted to sign in after an uninstallation of Firefox or something.
O.K. I took a little heat the last time I started a thread about Google being down and held my tongue . . . This time I would just like everyone to know that I am a VERY technical person, I work for IBM and am familiar with phishing sites and all the other obvious shit that happens to your normal user. Since I posted this, the issue is no longer and issue but still am curious if anyone has seen it? My guess would be a minor PayPal hack but who knows . . . Thanks
Hey! That one is serious! Someone is trying to poison your PC. Do not log in to your important accounts... Are you a part of a network connection? Check if the other PC's are hacked or if any of them has spywares installed in them. --Joe
Oops - I am afraid now..I get the same for so many times when I do submisisons and for the last 15 days I have been noticing that many of the directories in my list have been hacked and some show message that "you are banned" when I open the url...Plz. help if it's really being trying by someone to hack my accounts or PC...
Not sure why nobody is taking this seriously, including the idiots at PayPal. I have opened a HIGH severity ticket and am waiting for their response. Just some friendly advice, DO NOT ACCEPT THAT CERTIFICATE. I cancel it and am able to do what I need to do in there. Will keep everyone posted.
Not that apparently anyone gives a rats ass . . . . . . but it was interesting logging into my PayPal account this morning. I had converted to their newer home page 'look' about a month ago but today was back to the original look logon page. Logged on and no prompt for acceptance for a doubleclcik.net certificate. Also at the bottom of that page after logging on was this message: "We will be performing maintenance on the PayPal site between 2:00 AM EDT to 4:00 AM EDT. The site may be unavailable during that time. Thank you for your patience." While I have received nothing official from them yet, I suspect that anyone else having this issue may have done the same as me and tried their new home page look. When and if I hear something official I'll let ya know . . .
O.K. I received this email from PayPal and have not seen the issue since. Has anyone else noticed the issue disappears now that you are back to the old home page design?
