I have a quick question for the forum owners out there regarding forum monetization. I have a sports fan site with a very active user base for my particular team. The site averages about 650 unique visitors per day with around 2,000 daily page views, and a majority of the visitors stopping by on a daily basis. So there's little doubt that I could generate decent page view numbers with a forum. My question is this: Are the hassles of running a forum (moderating, etc.) worth the extra Adsense income? I realize that forum CTR is notoriously low but can be offset with the higher volume of page views. I'd like the extra money it could generate, but I also don't want it to be a maintenance nightmare. I guess I just want to know if the extra money would be worth any extra headaches that may come with running a forum. Thanks for any advice you can offer.
Go in for CPX or any publishing n/w which pays you on page views ! and you will be paid approx $ 1 - $ 2 daily on this small traffic !
Forums require very little moderating in general. Just hire a couple of moderators and let them do the work for you.
I have friends with forums having 100k + members and moderating is just not a problem. People love to do it for free (take the example of DP only). And yes they can earn good through adsense for sure
Thanks for all of your input. You folks have definitely given me some things to consider. If anyone else has some advice on forums, feel free to chime in.
i will still recomend that adsense is best! you just don't worry! it's PPC that can get you rich! so post the content that you guess will generate high PPC!
