Submitting individually optimized pages.

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by christian231, Aug 28, 2007.

After going through all of the individual pages of my site, and optimizing each one for the content contained on that page, is it a good or bad idea to submit these pages individually to the engines? I know for example, Google says you only need to submit your root page, but will submitting individual pages be considered spamming, even though they are part of the same site, but have different content. I hope I explained this correctly.

    Hi,

As I know, you do not submit individual pages, but a whole site - the domain name.

If you want all your pages to be referenced, than create a Google friendly site map and it will do the job.

Just type site map in Google and you will find your answer

You can use the Google site map tool or other sites that provide you with Google site map creation.

Don't submit your site to search engine. Wait for them to find your site. As long as you have links on other site specially in forums your site will be indexed quickly. After indexing your index page your inner pages will be index also.

Create a site map for your site so that inner page will be index and try also gathering backlinks for your inner pages.

    Hi,

By creating quality back links, you will have a greater chance to be submitted in search engines and also much faster.

Try also to find inbound linking - link to sites with similar content and ask them to link back - link exchange.

You can also use some paid link exchanging, but I always recommend to stick to the free ones.

Link exchange is good but google did not give much wieght on it lately. Submit your site to a free directory and I'm sure you can get a good backlinks.

For xml format sitemap, use google sitemap generator.

I had the same problem and tried almost every single generator out there and no luck. The generators would usually choke around 50,000 pages. How big is your site??

In such case you should create your site map in different files (like sections) and link them in your robots.txt file.

if you want search engine to find any part of your web site, i dont suggest you to submit them to search engines.

it may take long time search engine bots to visit your web site.

just find some backlinks and wait .

    search engine will find you

Yes, they will, but work on the content too. Eventually you will need to attract returning visitors, not just "traffic".
