Does Google register every IP address you log on to?

    Hi:

I want to know if google register every IP address you use to log on to your account. My question is how do they know that someone is clicking on their own ads if someone change IP address one way or another?

Also I want know if adsense blocks any person(IP address) if this person (IP address) clicks your ads more than once so that IP cannot click your ads again?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Its better then you think!

If you log into your gmail account from one computer, they have that IP address and will automatically map that to your adsense account.

If you log into another google service from the same IP, but under another account - they log that too, and check to see if someone might be creating duplicate accounts for things such as adsense.......they don't care if you have duplicate gmail accounts, but they still hold the data.

what I mean is, if you have a gmail account, they know every IP address you have ever logged into that account from.

I log into my gmail account at work, and as such, if I ever clicked on my own adsense ads on that computer, I'd expect to get caught out for clicking my own ads|

Then you will earn money on cost of advertisers expenses. Which is against google TOS

Fairy means you would earn some money that the advertiser would have to pay for, as they normally do. But because you've clicked it needlessly, just for the money, the advertiser has wasted their money and you have violated Google's TOS.

It's a waste of time anyway, you only get money for the first click or so from the same IP - you can't sit there and click your ads all day from your brother's house or whatever.

Also you would get more money in the long run if you spent the time building your site, and honestly earned too.

I thought they mostly tracked IP for "security reasons", so you could tell if someone else logged in and from where. It is kind of disconcerting that so much is tracked.

thanks guys......but as I suspected google block clicks from the same IP as they click it more than once.....but i'm sure they collect the money form adsense from every click no matter who clicked it.......great!!!........google always win.......either with adsense or with adwords.........

    Lets list the facts:

    1. Google Knows The Publisher's IP Address, It Gets Recorded
    2. Google Knows Your Gmail Account Because You Need It To Log In

If a publisher were to log into their gmail account on x computer, google would recognize their IP and say hey that email address has the same IP as the Publisher and we just recored a click from it.

    Thus putting 1 and 1 together :D

It depends. If you have never ever logged in there, then they can't know for sure and a few clicks will count.

However it will probably also depend where the brother lives and what internet provider he has.
Google is pretty good at figuring out where exactly an ip-address is in real life (up to cities, see google analytics). So if your brother lives very close to you and has the same internet provider as you, they can still have doubt that it's actually you..

I assume they'll have reports to check where all your visitors come from and a red flag will raise when you have too many clicks from a location very close to where you live..
(and if they don't, I think I'll quickly patent this idea and sell it to G :)

but google blocks an IP (from users other than the owner of the account of course) once it clicked once and still collect the money from adwords or not ?

even tho the users ip might be blocked, google will still record it. As for the second part of your question i would say no they dont collect it but i have no idea.

Im guessing they also have the same type of protection set up. e.g just as a person would get $0.00 credited to them, the advertiser would get $0.00 taken away.

    not sure tho.
