If you do a link exchange just make sure that it is between you and the other site personally and DO NOT submit your site to an auto program of any kind as it will most definately hurt you!! The advantage of link exchanging is you get a reciprical link that causes a VOTE in the search engines eyes to promote your popularity in the engines to get you rank and better position!!
Advantage: helps with Yahoo rankings, may bring in a trickle of direct traffic. Disadvantage: does'nt help with Google rankings.
But it will help to get visitors trough that website! And to my opinion, it still helps a bit in Google, but one-way-links count waaaay more!
Hi, There are many advantages. I said in some other thread that search engine = linking and having inbound links is the best possible option. This means that you will transfer some PR points to the site you are linking to, but also the linked site will transfer some PR points to your site. Link exchange to sites that is related to your site, avoid linking to bad sites and try to get links from quality and trusted sites.
Choose the site that is relevant to yours. Although google not give much weight on link exchange lately but it is quite working though less value link.
