I was just wondering what average monthly conversion rate you're getting on your campaigns, and if you want to put it, the cost in terms of clicks. I only put conversions on in the middle of August for 2 campaigns so my figures are:- Main campaign 10/8/07 - 25/8/07 387 clicks, $354 cost, 24 conversions, 6.20% conversion rate Sub campaign:- 13/8/07 - 25/8/07 155 clicks, $164 cost, 6 conversions, 3.92% conversion rate Not really too happy with these now I see them on paper :-<
looks ok though CR differs for every industry. Though latest stats say average site converts at 1.8%. You might need to review your keywords/landing page if unhappy with current CR.
i would kill for those conversion rates but unfortunately i am in a tough niche and a lot of orders are called in from our campaigns and it is a paint to keep track
If orders are called in, make note of a coupon code or something else on your landing page - that way, when your visitors call up, they'll use a code that identifies that they came from PPC search.
Huligan, my QS is OK, so it needs improving. I am working on it, but I cannot figure it out. I have been working on my landing pages (which account for the better than usual conversion rate) until the keyword I want is in the #1 spot in its category in the keyword tool and I use the keyword in the ad. And believe me, in my niche, you have to work on writing an ad that is off topic. it is very frustrating.
I know the challenge you are experiencing and it's tough. You're probably already familiar with these, but here are some tips on improving your quality score. They may help. Try copying phrases from your landing page to use in your ad copy. Just make sure the off-topic copy is also on your landing page.
Shlomof, I have started doing that and am tracking it ruthlessly. Huligan, thank you for the link. The web site is excellent. Thank you both for the advice.
I am in this same boat thanks for the links. I have several campaigns and have avg coversion rate of 1.6 - I am re-writing my ads!
Wow- I just read through your link completely, This is really helpful, I have been looking for this- I have read GOOGLEs info 3 times and it just does not supply all of this- This a really great help and I just had to throw up a second thanks!
