Hi everyone, I am about 90% finished with a new website I am working that allows people to download as premium rapidshare user, currently i'm just putting the finishing touchs on it. Just wondering what you guys think of the design, functions, and if it could be remotly popular! the website is: rapidshare . sc (remove the spaces.. dont want this showing up in google) I have designed it myself and re-wrote a good part of the rapidshare script thats floating around here to support my own ajax page loading system to make things easier. Thanks for taking your time to tell me what you think! EDIT: here is a rapidshare link to a file I uploaded if you want to try the download as a premium user out. http:// rapidshare . com/files/51690086/Winter.jpg.html (remove the spaces again.. this time i cant post a live link because im new )
http://rapidshare.com/files/51690086/Winter.jpg.html for other people oh and I know it'd be popular. How do you do it? Do you own the premium accounts that it's using or what? I'll deff bookmark this thanks.
Yeah I own the premium accounts its using, and my server acts as a proxy when you download, and logs into rapidshare using my premium accounts.
nice. If your offering it for free you might want to look at putting more ads on there. Unless you plan to make enough out of just the one set of text ads. I mean this money could easily just go towards more premium accounts and the hosting to make the site better, or you could pocket it.
Requires horizontal scrolling to display in 800x600 Browsers. James When images are disabled (or when the page is rendered in Lynx) the banner "CLICK HERE TO ENTER RAPID GAMES" is unavailable -- one of the dangers of using images containing instructional text as hyperlinks. James
I think you are on the wrong website, this is not rapid games I just checked and mine looks fine in 800x600.
I have to scroll right to read the last part of the 1-click web hosting for free and Professional web hosting text at 800x600 resolution. James
I'll have to look at how its possible to make it more suitable for 800x600 resoluiton, however that is not a priority. Thanks for the comments/suggestions so far!
As a designer I stopped coding/designing for 800 x 600 a long time ago. Not enough people are still using... most computers now ship at 1024x768. You're completely fine to not design for 800x600.
Thanks everyone for the great comments! I do plan on putting more advertising, however I dont want it to mess up the site and clutter it, so currently I am searching for the best solution.
