I have been monitoring my backlinks for my dir in Yahoo and I have noticed the links are dropping even though I have acquired more and more sitewides... Has anyone else noticed a decline in Yahoo?
I see this when I buy say PR5 site wide link etc. And after the time period when the take off the link, it is like a mess.
I have noticed a little decline. After the sitewides i bought i expected them to grow more than they have, they actually dropped a bit recently.
I have lost some 4k backlinks in Yahoo I don't know how even though I have been constantly building links.
I have noticed this over the past few weeks. Another thing, it always seems like on a Sunday the number of back links always drop considerably and then on a Monday they revert to what they were on a Fri/Sat.
I prefer to monitor my serp's and they improve bit by bit month by month. I had one site that had been behaving strangely and I suspect it had been penalised for duplicate content. But I checked this morning and its back. Is Google stirring?
As far as I know Google is changing the algorithms agings link buying and that's the reason why they are postponing the pr push. Its very interesting to see if sitewide links in non-relevant pages are going to disappear or they won't be counted at all (as Matt Cutts said) Very interesting. I have few directories of my own but I don't do any site-wide links since I'm kind'a afraid from them. Cheers, Venetsian.
Maybe yahoo is making an update in algoritm like google always does have you checked your links with a third party tool.
Mine decreased from 74k to 61k in Yahoo since the last 1 week, although i invested more and more for backlinks. http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.co...ectory.com/&bwm=i&bwms=p&bwmf=u&fr2=seo-rd-se Hope to get something positive.
Its simple really. I get many backlinks by sponsoring wordpress and phpLD themes. If someone stops using a theme you were sponsoring the backlinks disappear....
But what would be the reason when we are not sponsoring any theme and there are no cancelled subscription these days, but they ultimately decreased!
I notice a few less links to my web directory, and I assume it's just natural attrition. Sitewides seem to not show up in the Yahoo backlinks the way they used to.
Still over 200K backlinks in Yahoo! for www.linkforever.net However it's liitle bit less than was few weeks ago.
few hours back, i posted and had 61k backlinks.. And now 64k - http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.co...ectory.com/&bwm=i&bwms=p&bwmf=u&fr2=seo-rd-se Yahoo numbr is dancing every few hours
Forget Yahoo Site-explorer. Just type www.yourdomain.com on G search bar and hit it. You will cry. Isn't just that what I have been saying all these days HERE? Its time to move on with the new G algo. Forget all your past expertise/experiences and learn everything anew. Now we all start equals
