What is Web 2.0??

I keep hearing people saying that they want their logos to be Web 2.0 and stuff...
what does that mean??

Web 2.0 is the new way of using websites for users. Users can now make websites useful for them rather than just reading a text on the site. Web 2.0 is all about community connecting people

Web design isn't related with web 2.0. It just comes with the newer technology and people start designing things on a new way.

 

One aspect is Web 2.0 is more user interaction and user generated content, like for example digg.

 

Web 2.0 is nothing but a word used for going outside the search engines. At least that's the way I get it, from my involvement. All of the popular social bookmarking sites are nothing but Web 2.0. It's very big at the moment, the search engines never saw it coming. Social bookmarking sites, blogs, forums(like this one), being more interactive and the like - interactive internet media - can be considered Web 2.0.

But really, it's about interactive websites with some sort of networking involved. It's also about plugging BETA wherever you can on your site.

I always thought it was that until a few months back..

 

It is just some fancy word somebody came up with, it is like the word widget.
About 2 years from now you got web2.1 or web 3.0 etc. Internet is moving so is the words
