I have found a folder named EREG which contains a program of some sort which includes two executables a) ITP32.exe and b) REMINDER32.exe Does anyone recognise these or know what they might relate to?
REMINDER32.exe WordPerfect X3 Registration Reminder ITP32.exe is listed as a driver for HP Printers and also as an IBM Camera Driver
Thanks Samantha. I found those references on a search but they didn't make sense as I've never had an HP Printer or an IBM Camera. Also didn't use Work Perfect. So it remains a mystery ... aside from their possible applications I can't figure out how they got onto my machine. Weird eh?
Did you scan your computer for possible Viruses/Spywares? These could be some sort of Virus/Spywares (renamed) so I suggest you to do a details scan and check if your AV/Spyware program finds anything. And if you don't use any of the program these executable belong then just delete them from your machine.
Thank you Disguised. Yes I did a thorough scan as the search indicated as you say that they can be associated with malware. And also as you suggest DEL is a good move.
