No my friend is a Charter member and SMF2 is on http://egadforums.com , I am a moderator there and the features so far are very good. Quite a lot of bugs, but we've helped SMF with like 10 bugs we found.
Well the public BETA isn't out yet because there's still quite a few bugs in it, only out for charter members.
As an admin of a 2.0 beta I must say it is pretty impressive with all the features and the new editor.
I'm not even interested. I've already hand coded all the mods I need into my SMF forums like Signature Editor, banner rotation, PTP member tracking, etc... As somebody who has been using apache, MySql, SMF, CPanel, Wordpress and Linux for years, I know the perils of upgrading. Maybe if I launch another new forum, I'll try it out, but until then, I'll just stick with my personally hacked SMF install.
I love the two new features introduced in SMF 2.0: Auto editing for templates when you install a mod and of course, the WYSIWYG editor.
The member warning system is great too and the moderator control panel. Theres a lot more options for the admin too.
there's 1.1.4 now. i'm a charter member. and yup, the beta version has a lot of bugs. the default features/mods are awesome esp the warning system ;D
We recently upgraded to SMF2 beta2 a lot more features and stability than beta1. See: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=217789.0
We recently upgraded to SMF2 beta3 public (dev) Seems even better than all the past betas. The features seem more complete now.
